WSOP Format

Hi,

The person holding the weekly NLHE tourney is now thinking of having a WSOP format. He’s planning to have the same schedule of the same variety of games and various buy-in structures and limits such as the big boys, albeit on a smaller scale.

Personally, I would like to have an event like the main one at the WSOP. I believe it is the highest buy-in.

Well, if in case players who will be playing will all have five times more money on the line than normal, I believe most will be playing tighter at the beginning. If ever, I myself can then take advantage of it, scoop up some pots as well as blinds and eventually establish a stack. What do you think? Any thoughts or advice to share?

Thanks in advance!

Wavra
Wavra,

If your friend sets this up, call me. I want to play. The WSOP has multiple types of events, not just the Main Event. As far as how to play, early on you want to play a solid tight strategy. The tournament really doesn’t begin until the ante’s start. Until that point, play mostly just the strongest holdings. After the ante’s kick in, you can start making some moves on the blinds and ante’s as the pots will be big enough to make a move for.
