Beginners, most especially those who will play to have a stable income, will of course do everything to build their bankroll. Well, it won’t be that easy for them to build their bankroll, in fact they will be like climbing a pyramid. However, with determination and patience, they will of course later succeed.

Nowadays, for beginners to effectively build their bankroll, they need to start playing first at low stakes. They do not need to rush things up. Whenever they are ready, they can always move to high limits. Then they need to master the various levels. And before they even start on a certain level, they need to have the sufficient amount of money to back the limits they are playing.

Helpful Tips

It will be a long way for beginners as they build their bankroll. And there is no assurance whether they will succeed or not. With just few wrong moves, they might fail and even lose everything that they have. We of course want them to succeed and later have a solid bankroll so we have provided some tips for them. Here are the tips:

Look for the softest, easiest games. There are lots of these games online. As beginners, they need to have the easiest games so that what they currently have in their pocket will not be seriously at stake.

Avoid playing at high stakes too soon. As beginners, they need to play plenty of low stakes games to be able to get enough experience and later be ready to play at high stakes.

Stay for some time to where they play best. As beginners, they need to always consider their strength. If they play best at MTTs or STTs, then they can continue playing at such for a reasonable period of time. This can really help them.

It is best for beginners to start with a small, reasonable bankroll and just later make adjustments. However, at times, it is inevitable that they will need a large bankroll although they are just starting out. Oftentimes, this happens when beginners themselves choose to start by playing no-limit poker. Most likely, bigger blind will be tied up at $3 or even higher so they will most likely need to have at least $900. This amount is calculated using the “300 times” the bet amount rule.

Also, the need for large bankroll happens when beginners get to play at some casinos that have extended games within single round. During this instance, beginners will have to invest more money on bankroll.

We need not to forget that the need for large bankroll also happens of course when beginners decide to move up to high limits abruptly. Some after one or two games at low limits move to high limits without proper knowledge and experience. What they fail to realize is that poker is not a game anyone can beat in a short period of time.

Lessening the Risk

It is not healthy for beginners to have a large bankroll as being beginners who lack experience they may easily be cheated and in just one game may actually lose everything they have. That is why it is best for them to have only small, reasonable bankroll. However, as what mentioned above, there are instances that they will need to have a large bankroll. They will be on great risk but of course there are some things they can do to somehow lessen the risk.

Well, if they really like to start by playing no limit poker although this would mean large bankroll for them, then they just have to be cautious. They can start the game with a bet of $50 at a single time to find out if it will really make sense to have a large bankroll to gamble and to put at risk. And if they badly wish to play at a casino rather than online, then they can just research for the casinos that offer poker games with more gambling rounds so they can avoid them. As mentioned above, these casinos will just ask for large bankroll.

If you have read our previous articles, most especially the recent ones, you maybe already aware that it is too dangerous for beginners to play at real money tables for the first time. Beginners, because of lack of experience, may be easily cheated by cheaters and hackers. They may easily get themselves into unlikely and unhealthy situations. And they may even lose all their entire bankroll in their very first game.

If you are beginner, then you must keep such things in mind. When playing for the first time, most especially if for real money, be very careful. Do not place your entire bankroll at risk. Just start with little amount. Even experienced poker players themselves have started before with little amount. They believe it is still best to play safely.

Below are some tips beginners should know. These tips are about proper investing and setting of bankroll. If you are a beginner, these tips may really help you. Take advantage of them. You actually have nothing to lose if you get to know them.

So beginners can determine how much their bankroll will be or how much they are going to invest, they need to know the amount of buy-ins and consider the limit of course.

If will be playing at $2 by $4 limit game, the ideal bankroll will be equal to 300 times the amount of a single bet. More or less this will be $1200. Having this as a bankroll is just right for beginners.

Beginners who want to play in conservative manner can set just a little amount, $200 is already good enough for a bankroll.

If will be playing in casinos that offer micro limits such as $0.02 by $0.04, at least $5 as a starting investment is advisable.

Beginners when playing at real money tables online can often experience disconnections because of internet connection interruptions or at times software crash on computer. These disconnections from the real money table are inevitable as these are considered part of playing online. Oftentimes, these disconnections bring some problems. Not only they can actually delay a game but also can exactly ruin a game. At times, can actually open cheating possibilities for cheaters and hackers.

What Happens When There’s Disconnection?

When there is disconnection, the server will immediately work things out so a player will be reconnected in no time. If unluckily, the player can’t reconnect, it will dip into the player’s “disconnection protection” pool of credits. In the event the player has one, the dealer will declare him or her as all-in for the duration of the hand though of course he or she is not at all. This is one way for the player to stay on the game.

On the other hand, if in case the player don’t have any “disconnection protection” credits, his or her hand will be immediately folded no matter what his or her hand is. If in case he or she have a good hand, then it will be a total disaster. Hence, it is very important that a player secures good internet connection and non-crash-prone computer for safer, better playing experience.

Possible Cheating

Some cheaters take advantage of the “disconnection protection”. They know that if they have any “disconnection protection” credits, they will be automatically be all in so oftentimes they intentionally disconnect themselves from the table so they could cheat and manipulate the game.

As of the moment, though getting disconnected is still a threat to many beginners, things are a bit better. Some sites limit the number of times one can be protected by “disconnection protection”. Some sites even have “no all-in” tables so cheaters won’t have any chance to take advantage and cheat.

Beginners playing for real money are the usual victims of cheating and hacking. Well, this should not be something really surprising to us for beginners can easily be deceived. They easily get themselves into something without any thinking or pondering. They easily give in to temptations and offers that lead to deceit and all. But of course, we are not destroying the being of beginners here. We just want to help them. We just want them to play for real money without any threat of being the usual victims of cheating and hacking.

Well, one way for beginners to escape from being usual victims of cheating and hacking is to play at safe real money tables. Nowadays, they can still find some safe real money tables, though they are not that plenty. Most likely, they can stumble upon safe real money tables of Full Tilt Poker, Poker Room, and Party Poker. These real money tables of the said sites are proven safe from cheaters and hackers of all kinds, insiders or outsiders, because of their excellent, first-class security systems and programs that protect players’ information and transactions.

Insiders and Outsiders

If beginners don’t give much effort to search for the right, safe real money tables, they will most likely just end up to real money tables full of cheaters and hackers from the inside and the outside. Yes, cheaters and hackers can be from the inside and the outside of the site. We believe the most dangerous are the cheaters and hackers from the inside, or the insiders. These insiders can gain access to player names and addresses, email addresses, credit card numbers, NETeller account numbers and bank account information and later use what they know to cheat. Cheaters and hackers from the outside of the site or the outsiders are also dangerous for they are usually expert ones as they can still get important information and transactions though they are from the outside and not given any access at all.

Thus, because of these threats, the cheaters and hackers from the inside and outside of the site, beginners are in great danger when playing for real money. By all means, they must only play at safe real money tables.

Playing at real money tables after having enough free poker games is advisable for beginners. After playing for free, they should then have to experience how things get going at real poker tables with real money and all. They should learn how to take risk, how to win some money and finally, understand the meaning of losing. However, there is a certain danger they might face as they play at real poker tables. At some point, they may end up at real poker tables of newer, smaller sites which would then give them a headache when they later withdraw their money.

What to Consider?

The most serious trouble beginners might get themselves into is playing at real poker tables of some newer, smaller sites which by record have poor cash-out systems. Beginners, by all means, must know where to play and do business. They must think what sites have the capacity to grant cash-outs or withdrawals in case they request. Well, they must be aware that all of the poker sites are beyond the reach of legal action so they must be very careful.

Nowadays, the best thing beginners can do is to play at real poker tables of some large sites that are most likely well-established by now. They can try playing at those tables of Party Poker, Poker Stars, Ultimate Bet and Paradise Poker. Aside from being large sites, in fact they are the largest sites today, they also have good reputations for prompt pay-outs and cash-outs.

Why Newer and Smaller Sites?

If you are wondering why newer, smaller sites that can most likely give headaches to beginners, we will tell you why. Well, it’s because, by record, the newer, smaller poker sites are the worst offenders of the rule for poker sites for prompt payments to players or members. They delay the processing long enough so players will just decide to play some more and cancel their cash-out request.

It is helpful for beginners to play for free, using fake money. They can practice for free and eventually improve and sharpen any possible skills they have. However, it is not advisable for them to play for free for so long. Yes, playing for free is helpful for beginners but it can also be unhelpful. Beginners who play for free for so long might not be able to possess proper attitudes and behaviors. Thus, beginners after a few free games should start playing for real money. There will always be a difference between playing for nothing and playing for something.

Low Tables and Limit Tables

Beginners who will be playing for real money for the very first time may get seriously tensed and it is understandable. But they actually need not to as they can always play at some really low tables where the blinds are as low as one cent. Getting bankrupt for such tables is indeed impossible.

Aside from low tables, beginners can also play at limit games. At limit games, there is a limit on the maximum amount players can bet which implies that there will only be low risk involved. Also, at limit games, beginners can potentially win much more.

Few Considerations

Beginners can start playing for real money anytime they want. However, before they finally start playing, they need to pay attention first to few considerations. First, they need to learn what is the best way to move money around. Second, they need to know whether they would be breaking any laws. In the United States, poker particularly internet poker is not allowed. Third and the last one, they need to know all the rules about money matters of the poker room or even card room where they are going to play.

Most beginners nowadays look for free online poker games because they want to develop the skills they possibly have and eventually be a winning poker player. Well, yes, playing at some sites’ free online poker games is a good thing. It may actually help in some ways. Beginners can play and practice for free, of course without risking even a single penny. However, beginners fail sometimes to realize that they often do not actually play and practice at their best or to their full ability when they are at some free online poker games. What will you expect in beginners who are playing for no prize, who have nothing to lose and nothing to gain? But of course, we should not generalize all beginners. There are still some who play and practice to the best of their ability to get experience. The thing we just want to imply here is that beginners must be motivated, must feel inspired when playing. Of course, poker is not just about getting money but about getting experience to eventually beat the game. But let’s face it, at times, experience that may possibly be gained is not enough motivation. There still should some money involved.

At present, aside from free online poker games, beginners should actually try freeroll poker tournaments. Unlike free online poker games, these tournaments have prizes or rewards. The prizes are actually enough for players to be motivated. Hence, let’s just accept the fact that it is much easier for beginners to fine tune their poker skills when confronted with true opposition.

Some Tips

When playing at some sites’ freeroll poker tournaments, beginners just need to be reminded of some things. Most likely, they must be:

aware that they should be patient at all times. In freeroll poker tournaments, there are lots of hands involved, good hands and bad hands that’s why being patient at all times is a must. Good hands often do not come early.

conscious about being determined. In freeroll poker tournaments, it’s easy for beginners to give up because of loosing streaks and bad beats. Thus, no matter what, they must be determined all the way.

after of their position. In freeroll poker tournaments, some players mostly experienced ones tend to abuse their position. Thus, it’s vital for beginners to look after and defend their position at all possible means.
